Sidinger, Karl K. and Alice L. A new trail to the Dutchman. 1986.
Cover: "...A portfolio documenting the Peralta-Ruth canyon. The authors state they "..located, explored and documented the Peralta-Ruth canyon, the Dutchman's Gulch and the Peralta mine pit..." and "...located and documented the Dutchman's pit." This, they assert, "...establishes the authenticity of the Peralta-Ruth profile map." A very brief "proof" of these assertions, based on Ruth's maps (as found in Gentry's book) and their interpretations of the natural terrain. When the landscape fails to support their interpretations the blame goes to the 1880's earthquake.
